His professional journey includes serving as an Assistant State Attorney in the Office of the State Attorney, Seventh Judicial Circuit, from 1983 to 1988, where he specialized as a special prosecutor handling drug trafficking cases for two and a half years. Additionally, he has made significant contributions as a member of the Criminal Justice Review Committee for Volusia County (1997) and the Seventh Circuit Committee on Professionalism (1998).
